Celebrating 10 years of success and achievement

Last year we celebrated 10 years of success and achievement along with our 10th annual festival that took place from 1 – 10 July. However we have 3 exhibitions that are still on going: My Father’s House: The Architecture of Cultural Heritage, Wael Shawky: Cabaret Crusades and Dia Batal that formed part of the 2011 festival, for more information please click here.
The festival has been a great success and our thanks go to everyone who helped to make it happen and to all of our audiences for joining in and celebrating with us. Much has happened since the partnership was founded and the festival is as relevant today as it was when we started. We were delighted to introduce you to Eckhard Thiemann, our first guest curator, who curated the festival based upon a theme of New Histories:
“Conceived before the recent Arab spring revolutions, yet responding to the new political landscape, we invited artists whose work reflects deeply on the position of the individual within competing discourses of politics, identities, geographies and religions”. Eckhard Thiemann
